To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all attendees, VikingFest 2024 has implemented the following weapons policy:

• No Guns:
  Firearms of any kind are strictly prohibited on the event grounds, regardless of permits or licenses. This includes both open and concealed carry.

• No Live Steel or Peace-Tied Swords:
  For the safety of everyone on the grounds, no live steel swords, axes, knives, or similar items (including peace-tied) will be allowed at VikingFest 2024.

• 
  Foam and Boffer Replicas and Props:
  Only foam or boffer replicas and props are permitted for use during the event. These items must meet safety standards and will be subject to inspection upon entry.

• 
  Empty Sheaths Only:
  Attendees may carry empty sheaths as part of their costume or attire, but no live steel or other items may be placed inside them.

• 
  Purchased Live Steel Replicas:
  Any live steel replicas purchased from merchants during the event must be immediately taken to your vehicle. Attendees must first check in with the gate before placing purchased items in their cars to ensure smooth reentry into the event grounds. These items are not permitted to be carried or used on the event grounds after purchase.

• 
  Non-Compliant Items:
  Any non-compliant items found during inspections will be required to be taken to your vehicle for the remainder of the event. Refusal to comply may result in removal from the event grounds.

• 
  Inspections:
  Security personnel will be conducting inspections at the entry points. Please cooperate to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for everyone.
