Behind the performance
Meet Pictus.
Pictus combines powerful percussion and Highland bagpipes with storytelling, humor, and dance. Brad ‘Oengus’ Sprauer brings the drums and tales; John ‘Tallisyn’ Holland contributes bagpipes, whistles, other wind instruments, and original compositions; Lauren ‘Céilidh Shillelagh’ Berry adds percussion alongside Irish hard-shoe and Highland dancing. The result moves between music and performance, giving listeners plenty to watch as well as hear. At VikingFest, Pictus joins Saturday’s gathering with a sound rooted in rhythm and communal celebration.
